Gym and fitness marketing, run for you.

Five moments that cost a gym.

What happens now, and what we run instead.

  1. The SEO/GEO agent on the job: “gym near me”, on a sunday night

“Gym near me”, on a Sunday night

The restart is searched on Maps, and the best listing gets the visit.

What we run. Timetable, photographs and reviews kept current, and a page for each class.

  2. The Retention agent on the job: the member who has not been in for three weeks

The member who has not been in for three weeks

Lapsed members cancel quietly. The direct debit stops a month later.

What we run. A check-in at the three-week mark, written like a person, a class booked if they want it.

    Retention runs this one
  3. The Paid ads agent on the job: the january rush and the march slump

The January rush and the March slump

The ads go on when everyone else’s do, and cost three times as much.

What we run. A local campaign paced across the year, heaviest in your quiet months.

    Paid ads runs this one
  4. The Front Desk agent on the job: the trial request at nine at night

The trial request at nine at night

It sits in an inbox overnight, and they join somewhere else by morning.

What we run. Answered within a minute, with the trial booked into your timetable.

    Front Desk runs this one
  5. The Website agent on the job: the timetable that is a screenshot

The timetable that is a screenshot

The classes are a picture, the prices hidden, joining means an email.

What we run. A fast site with the timetable on the page and joining in one form.

How it went for Forge Fitness.

Independent gym. One site, three hundred members, and a January that used to carry the whole year.

They fixed our Google listing in the first week. We had more enquiries that month than we had all of last summer.

Frequently asked questions

The ones a gym asks on the first call. If yours is not here, ask us.

How do I get more gym members?

Be found first. Almost nobody joins a gym they did not find nearby, so the Google listing, the class pages and the reviews do most of the work, and a trial request answered within the minute does the rest. Ads come after that, paced across the year rather than piled into January, when everyone else’s are on and the clicks cost three times as much.

How do I retain gym members?

Notice the gap before they do. A member who has not been in for three weeks is on the way out, so we send a check-in at that mark that reads like it came from you, and book them a class if they want one. It is usually where we start, because a lapsed member costs nothing to win back compared with a new one.

Do you work with small studios and personal trainers, or only gyms?

All three. A yoga studio, a boxing club, a CrossFit box and a personal trainer with a rented room have the same problem: people nearby who would join if they knew you were there. What we run is fitted to how you sell, whether that is memberships, class packs or blocks of sessions.

How much should a gym spend on marketing?

Less than an agency would tell you, and none of it on a retainer. Our fee is from $249 a month, billed monthly, with no contract and no setup fee; where yours lands depends on what we run and how many sites it covers. Ad spend is yours, paid to Google and Meta directly, and we set it from what a member is worth to you rather than from a percentage.
